Ladies and Gents, History is about to be made!

On Tuesday, January 10th, Legendary Comedian, Eddie Murphy will receive one of The Golden Globe’s highest honors, the Cecil B. DeMille Award. This distinguished award is given as a way to honor “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment,” per the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Need we say, We Agree.

At 61, Murphy is a six-time Golden Globe nominee, with one under his belt for the movie musical Dreamgirls.

To say this is well deserved is an understatement.

The living icon will join a legendary list of recipients that includes Oprah Winfrey, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, Robin Williams and more.

The ceremony will be hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael, and the broadcast will air live across the nation at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC and its streaming service Peacock from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Nominations were announced on Monday.

Congrats Uncle Eddie!
